Corporate Philosophy

Tower Asset Management is an Absolute Return investment manager.

  • Our goal is to have positive returns every year regardless of whether general market returns.
  • When we feel it is appropriate, we will go “short” so that we can make money from a decline in the general market.
  • Cash is a great asset when general market concerns merit a defensive posture.

Tower is a Performance Oriented investment manager.

  • We believe the best way to achieve long term excellent performance is to produce solid short term returns.
  • There is a remarkable difference between investment management and investment performance. Many investment managers shadow the indexes, attempting to add value by over- and under-weighting different stocks and sectors of the market. Tower is not a “closet indexer”.

The majority of Tower's revenue is earned in the form of Performance Compensation.

  • We believe we should be paid to perform, and when our clients are suffering losses, we should "tighten our belts" too.
  • And we are rewarded when our clients make a profit.

To that end, we have tried to Align our Interests with our Partners by

  • investing along side them,
  • participating in the returns exactly as they do,
  • paying the same fees as they do, and
  • having the majority of our compensation come in the form of performance fees and,
  • having no personal accounts that can compete with Tower Funds.

Tower is in the Investment Research business.

  • Tower is intensely research focused and process driven. Any investment must pass a rigorous test against historical and current market data.
  • Technology allows us to capture the tremendous amount of data that is constantly flowing on the various capital markets.

Tower, to the best of its knowledge and ability, follows a Socially Responsible Investment policy.

  • We believe that companies that contribute constructively to social welfare will outperform.

Tower is committed to helping local and international community with Benevolent Giving.

  • 10% of firm-wide revenue is given to charitable causes.

Tower is committed to the Best Practices in the industry.  This includes:

  • putting client interests ahead of personal and corporate interests,
  • an uncompromising commitment to the protection of client assets, client confidentiality and disclosure of conflicts of interests and,
  • our commitment to supporting industry and community standards.

Conclusion:  Tower cannot afford to put short term gains over the long term welfare of our clients and the firm. Therefore we must remain vigilant in our focus on quality and excellence over the long term.
